Mãrtiņš Sesks will tackle the exact same events this season as he did in 2025, driving a Ford Puma Rally1

Mãrtiņš Sesks will continue with M-Sport in the 2026 World Rally Championship, tackling exactly the same events as 2025.

The Latvian’s season will therefore start in Sweden before trips to Portugal, Greece, Estonia, Finland, Sardinia and potentially Saudi Arabia.

That affords Sesks the opportunity to build on his 2025, where he impressed particularly in Saudi Arabia to fight for the lead before two punctures and a technical problem forced him out on the final day.

“This will be our third year working with M-Sport and our second season in WRC events,” said Sesks. “We have gained experience, but the real question is how well we can use it. After the first rallies of the season, we will quickly see how strong our foundation really is.”

M-Sport team principal Richard Millener said he was “very pleased” to confirm Sesks and co-driver Renãrs Francis “for at least six WRC events”.

Sesks left a real impression in Saudi Arabia where nobody had prior knowledge of the rally

He added: “After the ups and downs of Saudi Arabia, I genuinely believe strong results are possible. Putting this program together hasn’t been easy, but the season is already just weeks away.”

Sesks also intends to compete in at least two rounds of the European Rally Championship – Royal Rally of Scandinavia and Rally Five Cities North of Portugal –  with more possible depending on budget.

M-Sport will field Josh McErlean and new signing Jon Armstrong on all 14 rounds of the championship.

Grégoire Munster will also drive at next week’s Monte Carlo Rally, but isn’t tipped to return thereafter.
