Pastrana hoons a Bentley in latest video project

Travis Pastrana and the Bentley Supersports is a combination you didn't know you needed

FULL SEND – 4

Travis Pastrana’s not the kind of guy to say no to a project or back down from a challenge.

But I’d have loved to have been there when this one was pitched to him, just to see the look on his face. Because on the face of it, this wasn’t the car many would choose if tasked to film a film of this magnitude.

Hooning a purpose built Gymkhana Subaru is one thing. Flying to England to drift a luxury supercar around is quite another.

Clearly, this was no ordinary luxury supercar. Pastrana’s latest ‘star car’ was the all-new Bentley Supersports – a 666PS, rear-wheel-drive step forward for a company keen to create its most agile and performance-based car ever.

The end result was Supersports: Full Send; a film that tastefully acknowledges Bentley’s past while ushering in its future.

“I knew the Supersports would have a lot of power but I was happily surprised
by how nimble and fun it was to drive,” Pastrana said.

“I’ve never driven a production-based car to film a video of this magnitude before, without a clutch or modified steering angle, I had my concerns – but the Supersports exceeded all of my expectations.

“It was exactly what I had hoped for – the perfect combination of luxury and performance

Recorded at the marque’s factory in Crewe, Pastrana provides his usual high-octane action behind the wheel, driving a mildly modified version of the streetcar to enhance the cinematography.

The key modification was a hydraulic handbrake – named Mildred, the project name for Supersports within Bentley – as well as some software modifications.

The star car is now destined for life in Bentley’s heritage collection, but you can watch it in all its glory right now via this link.
