This past weekend, the Lumen Field Event Center presented the Seattle International Auto Show, hosting every type of car and three days of full-on rally nerdship.
While the main level of the expo center was populated with brand new cars from each manufacturer (and the Subaru Loves Pets puppy adoption center!), the upper mezzanine hosted a slew of brilliantly rare classic cars, all thanks to the Avants team and their members.
This year, we were lucky enough to present our own DirtFish Subaru WRX STI alongside these beauties.
DirtFish team members represented our booth, chatting with countless folks looking to get into the sport. Three days later, even the participants that came to see the brand new cars ended up rally converts (that tends to happen).
While our WRX STI has been fully equipped to tear up some gravel with 15-inch Method race wheels, WRX brakes, OMP race seats, and a roll cage built in-house, we were set up beside some glorious, less rally intensive “oldies”.
These included a 1967 Mini MK II race car, a 1987 Alfa Milano Verde race car, a 1985 Porsche Carrera 911 Safari -LuftAuto 001, a1964 Morris Mini Cooper, a 1963 karmann ghia, and the list goes on… and on. It was a classic car lover’s dream.
Thank you again to the Avants team and to all who put on this year’s Auto Show! We love any opportunity to talk rally.
