Rally Chile

Dates: Sep 28, 2023 - Oct 1, 2023
Location: Biobio
Based: Concepcion, Chile
Surface: Gravel

Rally Chile is perhaps one of the forgotten rounds of the World Rally Championship in recent times. First run in 2018 as a candidate event for inclusion in the 2019 WRC, the rally proved an instant hit with its stunning scenery and arguably even better roads which drew comparisons with Rally GB.

But it also proved it can bite, with Thierry Neuville spectacularly crashing out on the second day. Chile missed out on a place on the 2020 schedule – before COVID-19 made this commonplace – with political unrest in the country but finally returns four years after its debut in 2023 in a later September date as the WRC’s only South American round.
