Rally Chile

Dates: Sep 9, 2021 - Sep 12, 2021
Location: Biobio, Chile
Based: Concepcion, Chile
Surface: Gravel

Rally Chile isn’t just one of the newest events to be inducted into the World Rally Championship, it’s one of the freshest rallies at any level, anywhere in the world as it was first run in 2018 as a candidate event for inclusion in the 2019 WRC. The rally proved an instant hit with its stunning scenery and arguably even better roads which drew comparisons with Rally GB. But it also proved it can bite, with Thierry Neuville spectacularly crashing out on the second day. Chile missed out on a place on the 2020 schedule – before COVID-19 made this commonplace – with political unrest in the country but returns in 2021 in a later September date as the WRC’s only round in the Americas.
