Why have a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI when you can have the Tommi Mäkinen Edition?
One hundred lucky people now have the opportunity to boost their aura, as Toyota has unveiled the GR Yaris Sébastien Ogier 9x World Champion Edition.
Hot on the heels of the GR Yaris Morizo RR, this new machine – built, as the name suggests, to celebrate Ogier’s 2025 world title success – was unveiled to the world in Monaco ahead of this weekend’s Monte Carlo Rally.
The edition features several visual quirks, including the black gravite paint (exclusive to this car), matte black rims, blue brake calipers and a French tricolor on the grille.
Inside, you’ll find steering wheel switches that have drawn inspiration from a GR Yaris Rally2, with blue, grey and red stitching mimicking the French flag. Along with a vertical handbrake, there’s also a special plaque commemorating the championship
Mechanically, this car is unique too. Instead of ‘Track’ mode that you’d find in a regular GR Yaris, there’s ‘Séb’ mode with a 40:60 front/rear torque distribution, while ‘Gravel’ mode is known as ‘Morizo’ mode – exclusively developed by Ogier.
Want one? Me too, but it’s not that simple. A purchasing lottery will be held, with applications accepted from spring 2026 via the TGR official smartphone application ‘GR app’.
No price is listed, but I assume it’ll be above my pay packet. I’ll settle for staring at the details instead…
