Let’s rewind.
In a stunning collaboration with Land Rover and Kittitas County Search and Rescue, Motion State’s latest film Daughter’s Defender captures the essence of heritage, adventure, and family legacy.
The film beautifully follows the journey of a father and daughter as they bond over their shared love for the iconic Land Rover Defender, symbolizing both freedom and exploration. The cinematography and storytelling are captivating, blending breathtaking landscapes with moments of heartfelt connection.
It’s a testament to how vehicles can serve as bridges across generations, fostering unforgettable experiences on and off the road.
And, this time, we know the actors.
At DirtFish Rally School, we know cars are more than just machines. They’re gateways to adventure and self-discovery. Much like Steve and Josie Rimmer in the film, our community thrives on a shared passion for rallying, where every drive creates memories that last a lifetime.
Check out Daughter’s Defender for a glimpse of the kind of adventure that drives us all, whether it’s in a Land Rover or behind the wheel of a rally car.
But there’s even more to this film. Kittitas County Search and Rescue team are in final five nominations for the Defender Service Awards. Success would mean a new, potentially life-saving Land Rover Defender and $25,000 for a team of people who regularly put their lives on the line to help rescue others. Not for nothing is the KCSR motto, “So others may live.”
“It was an absolute honor to be a part of this project and to be entrusted with the position of representing a true search and rescue member,” said DirtFish’s head of strategy and Women in Motorsport coordinator Josie Rimmer.
“Thanks to Motion State’s commitment to honesty and accuracy, we were able to meet and learn from the real heroes at Kittitas Search and Rescue, and I can’t even put into words how in awe I am of them.
“This storyline is extra special to me, of course, because I got to share it with my dad. My dad who has been my hero in this wonderful life, and who has always encouraged me to step into the wild, acknowledging the danger, but never letting it stop us.
“I am grateful to my family at home, at Motion State, and my newest family members at KCSR who dedicate their lives so others may live.”
