Formula 1 race exec joins DirtFish WiM Summit lineup

Irana Ahmadova, who plays a key role in Formula 1's Azerbaijan Grand Prix, joins the WiM Summit panel on May 24

Leading motorsport management figure Irana Ahmadova has confirmed her attendance at next month’s DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit.

Irana has worked at motorsport’s highest level with the Baku City Circuit Operations Company, which hosts one of the most exhilarating and entertaining rounds of the Formula 1 season: the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.

As head of HR and workforce, Irana has developed inclusive recruitment strategies to actively seek to increase the representation of women in traditionally male-dominated roles. Her commitment to fostering an equitable workplace extends beyond hiring, with her implementation of comprehensive training and mentorship programs.

Through her strategic vision and unwavering advocacy, Irana continues to inspire a new era of diversity within her industry. Her pursuit of excellence, coupled with her commitment to gender equality, defines her as a trailblazer in HR.

Irana said: “I’m honored to join the DirtFish Summit 2025 to discuss a subject very close to my heart – the vital role of women in motorsport. As someone who has spent years navigating the intersections of leadership and performance, I believe this summit is not just a gathering, it’s a movement.

“Our industry thrives on precision, strength, and resilience – all qualities women bring to the table. For me, it’s a chance to stand alongside changemakers and share stories that matter.

“Motorsport has long been seen through a narrow lens, it’s time we widened that view.”

DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit coordinator Josie Rimmer added: “From the moment Irana and I first talked, it was obvious we were totally together on all aspects of the drive to bring more women to motorsport.

“Irana is at the absolute forefront of the push to employ more women and to further the work of those already in position. Hearing Irana’s perspective on where we are right now and where, together, we want to get to is going to be amazing.”

The DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit runs at LeMay – America’s Car Museum on Saturday May 24.
