Lia Block joins star-studded DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit

The F1 Academy Star is the next of a long line of Women in Motorsport Summit panelists to be announced

She drives in the F1 Academy for Williams Racing. She’s driven for the factory Subaru Motorsports USA team. She’s smashed Nitro, ripped up Extreme E and taken a 1400bhp Porsche up the Pikes Peak International Hillclimb.

And now, Lia Block’s coming back to the DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit to tell us all about it.

Lia won her first American rally title aged 16. She signed for Williams aged 17 and now heads into a second F1 Academy season chasing podiums and a potential championship aged 18. Little wonder she’s widely regarded as America’s brightest motorsport prospect.

Lia’s sights are very much set on building on her rookie F1 Academy season experience: in 2025 she’s chasing points, podiums, race wins and possibly a championship. As well as joining DirtFish at LeMay – America’s Car Museum on Saturday May 24.

Lia said: “I am very excited to be attending as a panelist for the 2025 DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit!

“It is an honor to be able to speak among some powerful women who also inspire me in the industry. I’m most excited to listen to others’ stories and experiences in the motorsports world and learn for my career going forward.”

With Claire Williams OBE already announced as guest speaker at the fourth annual DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit, Lia will be in good company.

“Having Claire and Lia together at the Summit is going to be something very special for us,” said DirtFish Women in Motorsport coordinator Josie Rimmer. “Claire’s family is the history of one of the world’s greatest racing names and Lia, like the rest of us, has the opportunity to listen, learn and truly appreciate Williams Racing.

“Outside of her current racing commitments, Lia’s already achieved so much. Driving a factory Subaru at last year’s LSPR, winning the National Open 2WD title in her first season at that level… the list goes on.

“But beyond all the results and all the hoopla, Lia and the Block family are like family to us right here at DirtFish. Lia and her mom Lucy attended the first ever DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit in 2022 and we are beyond delighted to have her back.

“She’s achieved so, so much, yet she’s only just scratched the surface of what could be to come in a career that could carry her right to the very top of motorsport – on stage, track or maybe both.”
