US rallying and rallycross star Ken Block’s Climbkhana Files web series is a three-part look at the intense filming process behind last year’s Climbkhana video, with the third and last instalment just released.
In the latest episode Block is ascending to the highest point on the Tianmen Mountain Highway in Hunan Province in China, looking at the ‘Heaven’s Gate Key Hole’, and the ‘Layer Cake’ spiral road section which inspired the creation of the video in the first place.
We also get a glimpse at Block’s run through the risky Corner 69, where in true Ken Block fashion he took the most difficult line on his very first attempt. But the high grip levels on the mountain also lead to Block having a disagreement with the fabled road as he struggles to lay down his signature sideways style.
