Travis Pastrana guides viewers through Subaru's top Launch Control moment

Subaru Motorsports USA’s countdown of its favorite episodes of its long-running Launch Control series concludes this week with Travis Pastrana looking back at one of the team’s greatest triumphs.

Episode seven of the show’s fifth season showed the team’s record-breaking run up the Mount Washington hillclimb.

Pastrana and long-time team-mate David Higgins utilized specially-prepared versions of the team’s WRX STI rally cars that were lighter and more powerful for their attack on the iconic climb.

The Mount Washington hillclimb is the longest-running motorsport event in America, taking place on-and-off since 1904. Since 2011 it’s been held every three years, although in 2020 the COVID-19 pandemic forced its postponement for the first time since its revival.

That makes the final part of Subaru’s Launch Control countdown all the more fitting for these times. But we won’t spoil much more for you – watch above as Pastrana takes you through the lows, highs, and impressive heights of one of Subaru Motorsports USA’s most memorable weekends.
