American Rally Association competition director Preston Osborn has talked of his memories of competing against Erin Kelly, who died in a crash at New England Forest Rally on Friday.
Osborn met Kelly when she began competing alongside TJ Pullen.
“I competed against Erin and TJ on the east coast,” Osborn told DirtFish. “They were in the car together from the first rally and we chatted about them starting out and how they were going about things.
“Erin was based on the east coast and she had a real impact on the sport in that region – she had a lot of friends in this sport and when she and TJ were competing, it was all smiles.
“Everybody’s in shock right now, but the competitor sentiment here in New England was clear. With everything so fresh, nobody was really feeling in the right place to be on the stages.
“We’re here to support Erin’s family and friends.”
