Is Travis Pastrana's debut of the ARA25L on Olympus Rally the beginning of a shift in US rallying?

The argument always was that it kept Subaru Motorsports USA in the championship.

But now that it has developed a car for the second-tier Limited 4WD class – admittedly through the desire of Travis Pastrana – is it finally time for the ARA to move on from Open 4WD?

And what constitutes spectacular rallying? The fastest cars with the best drivers seeking every last tenth, or an under-powered car being ragged for all its worth – usually sliding from lock to lock?

Brenten Kelly hosts Nate Tennis and David Evans on SPIN, The Rally Pod to discuss that very matter, among all the other events of last weekend’s Olympus Rally.

The team looks into champion Brandon Semenuk’s incident and just how impressive his recovery effort was, the controversy attached to it and what Brenten and Nate have done in the past as drivers in similar situations.

Also on the menu, we transition into a conversation between DirtFish WiM Driver Aoife Raftery and DirtFish WiM coordinator Josie Rimmer who discuss her amazing debut in the US – and in a four-wheel-drive car – and what’s next for her in her international season.
