Martell increases his ARA commitment for 2025

The rallycross racer will take on Sno*Drift for the first time next week as part of an expanded rallying program

Triple American Rally Association National champion Brandon Semenuk won’t have it all his own way in 2025 as Conner Martell increases his rallying commitments for the upcoming season.

The esteemed rallycross racer, with experience at the top of Nitrocross, has a strong rallying CV with two victories at the Boone Forest Rally and runner-up finishes at both the Ojibwe Forests and Lake Superior Performance Rallies last year.

Alongside co-driver Alex Gelsomino, the 27-year-old will again campaign an older-spec Subaru WRX STI from Vermont SportsCar, backed by Kubota, but will take on the Sno*Drift Rally this week for the very first time as part of an increased ARA program.

“We proved last season that we can fight for wins, and I’m eager to get back out on the stages,” Martell said.

Martell is low on experience in the snow, but has a strong rallying record so far

“I’ve never competed at Sno*Drift, and it’s been a few years since I’ve raced in the snow, but Alex has been there numerous times. I have a lot of confidence after our solid results last year, so we’re feeling good.”

Semenuk and co-driver Keaton Williams are, however, still the overwhelming favorites for victory on the February 7-9 event.

They’re the only works Subaru entrant (for this round at least), with competition likely also coming from Patrick Gruszka (Hyundai i20 R5) and Nick Allen (Ford Fiesta Rally3).
