The news is out there. From 2023, the rules at the top of the American Rally Association presented by DirtFish National championship are changing.

Tighter restrictions mean no more World Rally Cars and fundamentally slower cars, but lowering the costs should enable far more drivers to compete for the overall championship.

So why has ARA pursued this route? Why is it doing it now and what has the reaction been from competitors?
