Renault unveils Clio Rally6

Built to new regulations in France, the Clio rivals Peugeot's existing 208 Racing

Renault has unveiled its Clio Rally6 to comply with new regulations from the French federation.

Built to comply with all-new FR6 regulations from the FFSA, the Clio Rally6 will be offered as a kit, costing €19,999 including VAT, built up from any production Clio with a 1.3-liter engine.

Boasting up to 150bhp through a six-speed manual transmission, the car will be shod with road-approved tires to reduce costs, as per FR6 regulations.

Last year, Peugeot unveiled its 208 Racing which has been built to the same technical specification. The intention of FR6 is to offer a cost-effective way into motorsport, with the car also able to compete at racetracks and hillclimbs as well as special stages.

Orders are being accepted now for the Clio Rally6, which joins a family of four homologated Clios ranging from Rally5, Rally4 and the flagship Rally3 model.
