Subaru’s Canadian star Brandon Semenuk took the title – his second ARA crown in succession – but who was the most spectacular crew from last year’s championship?
Semenuk and co-driver Keaton Williams have to be in with a shot at that award: the pair were unbeaten and on sublime form throughout 2023. More than that, the WRX, old and new, were worth watching all year long.
It was the same for any one of the Lexus IS 350s out there, but a Michael Hooper-wheeled car was usually the most sideways. Aurally, the 350 was a treat too. But if there was one car that stole our ears for the season, it had to be Sam Albert’s Ferrari-engined Subaru. Oregon’s Maryhill stage was made for a sight and sound like that.
