The Girardo & Co. Christmas film has become as much a part of the holiday season as turkey and all the trimmings. And this year’s doesn’t disappoint.
How could it when the star of the show is V10 FMC, the Ford Focus WRC01 Carlos Sainz used to finish second on the 2001 Monte Carlo Rally. And with the preparation work completed by BGMsport, the car’s just as beautiful as when it rolled out of M-Sport bound for the French Alps.
Sainz might have been a minute down on Tommi Mäkinen when he finished the season opener 23 years ago, but he finished it with a flourish and a fastest time on the run south from Loda to Lucéram.
Maybe that scratch time was what prompted a delayed set of celebratory donuts from Max Girardo in this latest Christmas movie. Distracted during the final working day before the holiday season, Max finds the opportunity to fire up the Focus and dirty a Martini too much. He takes to the lanes.
Much as we love this year’s Girardo offering, the office opinion here is that the search for a Christmas tree aboard our owner Steve Rimmer’s awesome Audi still takes some beating…
