Lorenzo Bertelli will make his second rally start in Toyota’s GR Yaris Rally1 at this weekend’s Rally del Brunello in Italy.
Bertelli, a long-term M-Sport customer, first drove a Yaris on Rally Sweden back in February, recording a 10th place finish.
After the event he suggested he could be back in a Ford in the future, but Bertelli appeared at last month’s Rallylegend driving a Toyota.
The Italian was left impressed with the agile handling of the car on Tarmac, and after trying it on snow in Sweden will get his first taste of gravel at this weekend’s November 10-11 rally alongside co-driver Simone Scattolin.
An impressive 16 Rally2 cars have entered the event, including European Rally Championship regular Alberto Battistolli. The Montalcino-based event offers 11 stages totaling 52.7s miles.
