For many weeks now, rally fans and gamers all over the world have been logging the stage miles, and perhaps the odd encounter with a tree, in the World Rally Championship’s official game – EA SPORTS WRC.
But amid the plethora of cars and locations in the game to enjoy, one thing has been missing: the WRC’s newest event – Central European Rally.
Well, not anymore! CER is coming to EA SPORTS WRC on December 14 and is free to all players, so you can soon relive Thierry Neuville’s rally win on the wide, winding roads and unique countryside tracks of the WRC’s first tri-nation event.
And to celebrate its release, we thought we’d invite Codemasters game designer and professional rally driver Jon Armstrong back to SPIN, The Rally Pod to tell us all about it.
On this week’s pod, Armstrong gives DirtFish’s Luke Barry an insight into how the new stages were designed and built, how a real life rally driver makes pacenotes in the virtual world, and hands out a few tips and tricks for players to go faster through CER’s tricky tests.
So buckle up for a gaming-themed edition of SPIN, The Rally Pod, and don’t forget to download the December 14 update of EA SPORTS WRC to take on the new stages!
