Few could deny that Ott Tänak was the fastest driver on Rally Portugal 2025 and would most likely have won by a handsome margin had he not been hampered by power-steering failure on Saturday afternoon.

Instead, it was the old master Sébastien Ogier who was there to bring his Toyota GR Yaris home without any dramas while still outpacing all of his team-mates.

Join David Evans and Luke Barry for the latest edition of SPIN, The Rally Pod, where they dissect the action and consider why three of this year’s world title favorites – Thierry Neuville, Kalle Rovanperä and Elfyn Evans – had relatively lackluster events.

We also catch up on the American Rally Association’s Oregon Trail Rally and look ahead to this year’s DirtFish Women in Motorsport Summit, which takes place on Saturday (May 24).
