No question about it, the 2022 Acropolis was a grueling event. A rally of attrition, thus as it was always used to be.
The McKlein crew notched up neigh on 3000 miles (5000 kilometers) driving to follow the rally and sleep didn’t feature much on the agenda.
Big crowds follow this rally and therefore using access roads into the stages is tricky; often it’s best to drive in two hours before and lock-in to the best locations and then drive out after the entire rally has passed through, navigating through the rocks thrown up by the rally cars.
It’s all part of this wonderful adventure and the resulting images are oh so worth it.
