As expected, Grégoire Munster has retained his M-Sport Ford drive for the 2025 World Rally Championship season.
Munster, who turns 26 next week on Christmas Eve, stepped up from M-Sport’s WRC2 program into a Puma Rally1 for 2024, where he was paired alongside Adrien Fourmaux.
It was a tricky season at times for the Luxembourg driver who was low on experience, but decent signs of progression – particularly on the final two rounds of the season in Central Europe and Japan where he scored back-to-back fifth places – left Munster confident he was worthy of a second season.
He will once again be co-driven by Louis Louka.
“I’m really looking forward to next year and having the opportunity to drive the Puma again, especially in the good team structure and atmosphere at M-Sport,” Munster said.
“I’m happy to be continuing with Louis as well, with the aim to continue our progress in the top category, and improving from where we finished in 2024.
“Of course, that means aiming to break a top-five finish with fourth overall, and hopefully eventually some podium places too. I’m excited to see what we can do.”
M-Sport team principal Richard Millener said he has “really enjoyed working” with Munster and re-signing him for 2025 “is a big positive for me”.
Millener added: “They made some great progress over the course of their debut year, and although we must remain realistic with the goals and expectations for them in 2025, it is a great opportunity for them both.
“I am very happy to be working with them again for another full season and I believe they thoroughly deserve this opportunity.”
Munster will assume a de facto team leader role, with M-Sport’s press release describing him as “now heading up the team” following Fourmaux’s Hyundai move.
Munster’s team-mate, which M-Sport described as “another promising junior crew”, is set to be announced tomorrow (Thursday).
