Sébastien Ogier will miss the Monte Carlo Rally for the first time since 2011 next year, as he partially revealed his World Rally Championship plans for 2027.

Ogier hasn’t contested a full world championship campaign since 2021, but he still added a ninth world title to his name in 2025 despite missing three of the rounds.

The Toyota driver has regularly driven more than half of the year’s events, although only entered six of the 13 rallies in his first part-time season in 2022.

Ogier admitted he still doesn’t know himself how many events he will drive in 2027, but confirmed he won’t be in Monte Carlo and that he’ll be less active than in recent seasons.

“I still don’t know it myself, that’s why I will not be able to share more to you today,” Ogier told DirtFish.

“I’ve been repeating it the whole weekend that the clear thing is that I will not start Monte, that’s for sure. I have some job to do – the backing of my wife for once after receiving her support for the last 10 years, basically since our son is born.

“So yeah, I need to… I owe her more than that. After that we will see. I need to assess a little bit the whole situation.

“Probably you won’t see me often but it’s not impossible that I’m back sometimes.”
