Paddon’s take on how rallying should improve

Hayden Paddon chats to David Evans about the current health of rallying on SPIN, The Rally Pod

Hayden PADDON

You’d be hard pressed to find anybody more passionate about rallying than Hayden Paddon.

Ever since he was born, rallying has been the New Zealander’s life. A World Rally Championship victory, European Rally Championship title and countless New Zealand championships confirm that’s been time well spent.

But in a new phase of his career, Paddon has increasingly been keen to speak his mind, share his view and look to improve the sport he’s devoted himself to.

That’s why he messaged David Evans and asked if he could come on SPIN, The Rally Pod to put the rallying world to rights.

So in this special episode of the podcast – recorded in the lead-up to his victory at Rali Ceredigion earlier this month – Paddon contemplates how rallying has changed, where it needs to improve (for both drivers and for fans) and perhaps how that could be done.
