Rossel and his co-driver announce separation

Yohan Rossel and Arnaud Dunand are going their separate ways after four years together

Yohan Rossel

Yohan Rossel and co-driver Arnaud Dunand will go their separate ways in 2027 after four seasons together in WRC2.

Dunand has been by Rossel’s side for eight of his nine WRC2 victories, first sitting beside him in 2022 and remaining there through his title challenges with Citroën and then Lancia.

However, just one week after Jon Armstrong and Shane Byrne announced their split, Rossel announced that Dunand “has decided to take his career in a new direction”.

Rossel said: “After four years together and eight WRC2 wins, Arnaud has decided to take his career in a new direction. Good luck for the future.

“Thank you for these great years and for all the job you’ve done by my side.”

Dunand shared Rossel’s post to his Instagram story, and added: “Thank you for four amazing years! I wish you all the best for the future.”

The identity of Rossel’s 2027 co-driver, Dunand’s plans, nor Rossel’s program are currently known.

The 31-year-old is known to be desperate to compete in the top category having spent years in Rally2, but he’s also expected to remain with Stellantis Motorsport.

He has pushed Lancia to develop a Kit for its Ypsilon Rally2 HF Integrale to make it a Rally1, but this hasn’t manifested so far.
