World Rally champions Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen will both drive as zero cars on an upcoming round of the Finnish Rally Championship.
Rovanperä has experience driving stages as a course car, most recently in the Czech Republic in a Toyota GR Supra, but it will be a new experience for Halttunen.
Although the 37-year-old has driven a rally before, it was only once and back in 2015 with a Honda Civic.
Rovanperä and Halttunen will appear on the third round of the Finnish championship, Jyväskylän Talviralli, on March 3-4 – in between World Rally Championship rounds in Sweden and México.
Rovanperä will drive his own Toyota Starlet – the car that began his driving career as an eight-year-old – while Halttunen will steer his own GT Corolla.
“As some of you may have already known, my Starlet has been under rebuild, has been upgraded and it’s almost ready!” said Rovanperä on social media.
“Our first planned event with it is a Ralli SM event in Jyväskylä where both Jonne and I will be driving as 0 cars, me with my Starlet and Jonne with his GT Corolla!
“This is going to be a lot of fun!”
