Esapekka Lappi's training regime for Rally Turkey involved long stints in the sauna

Few rallies challenge World Rally Championship drivers physically like Rally Turkey. They’re not the hardest stages in the world in terms of g-forces but the searing heat rapidly dehydrates the drivers and makes concentrating on the job at hand tricky.

While some drivers drink up to 10 liters of water a day to make up for their weight and fluid loss during rally days, Esapekka Lappi had a traditionally Finnish trick up his sleeve pre-event: the sauna.
