If there’s one thing Colin Clark does better than anybody else in the world it’s talking to World Rally Championship drivers.
As Craig Breen quite eloquently put it as he lined up for his second day of Monte Carlo Rally recce on Tuesday morning: “You broke the silence there a few minutes ago!”
Breen was just one of several drivers who wound down the window to allow the extendable DirtFish microphone in for an interview. And the one common theme between all the drivers was the dry weather – “it’s more like a Corsica or Catalunya recce” quipped Breen – and the consensus that that’s a positive given how much else they have to get to grips with learning hybrid rally.
