Toyota continued its 2022 World Rally Championship preparations with a further development and set-up test in the French Alps last week.
Four of its five drivers were present (Esapekka Lappi wasn’t there, but he did make time for a DirtFish interview which you can read later this month) with the most interest centred on Sébastien Ogier and his first mileage in the all-new Toyota Yaris Rally1 Hybrid.
Ogier, Elfyn Evans and Kalle Rovanperä ran the car for two days with Takamoto Katsuta completing a single day of running.
The test was all centred close to Roquesteron and ran in sunny, dry conditions.
While there was some ice around in the morning, there was no snow to help in the team’s preparations for next month’s Monte Carlo Rally.
