The World Rally Car has been at the forefront of the World Rally Championship ever since 1997. In that time, the rules have changed significantly twice but the name has remained the same, and the memories these cars have produced have been sensational.
But next year, the name is being retired as the Rally1 era is ushered in. Hybrid power is coming to the WRC, and with it a brand-new era is dawning.
While we are greatly anticipating this new chapter in the WRC’s history, we also wanted to pay our respects to the ruleset that has entertained us for a quarter of a century.
