Elfyn Evans is the World Rally Championship’s form man at the moment, having finished first or second on each of his four starts.
But on snow and ice, surely Ott Tänak has to be the favorite? The Estonian is the only one on the start list to have won Rally Sweden more than once, and he conquered the Arctic Circle when the WRC visited Rovaniemi back in 2021 as well.
We obviously cannot discount Kalle Rovanperä either, but perhaps his off-beat performance at the Monte has made him less of a favorite than usual? And what about Thierry Neuville on a comeback trail of his own.
Factor all of this into the general unpredictability of Sweden’s snowy stages, and the debate about where exactly is the best place to be on the road, and what we have is an immensely unpredictable rally on our hands.
Colin Clark, Alasdair Lindsay and Luke Barry pick up the debate as they look ahead to the second round of the 2025 WRC season. And look out for a couple of other familiar voices later on in the show!
