Nitro Rallycross has revealed the second of its purpose-built courses that will be used for its first full season this year.
The unveiling of the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park course near Phoenix, Arizona – which will be the third stop on the calendar – makes it the first of the series’ new venues to be detailed. The Utah Motorsports Campus track was previously used at the Nitro World Games in 2018 and 2019, though the layout is expected to be tweaked.
The Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park course begins with an open left-hander, which leads into an open section then a tight right hairpin. From there is a high-speed right before the first of two technical sections, the second of which ends the lap with NRX’s signature gap jump before the start/finish line.
The gap jump forms the second of two crossover sections, the other appearing in the form of a bridge after the first and third corners. A joker route cuts out much of the final third of the course, but features multiple kinks alongside a wide-open section of the main track.

Other than the route map, NRX has kept further details of the newly built track under wraps.
While the course being used by NRX at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park has been specifically developed for the series, it won’t be the first time the venue has hosted rallycross.
Global Rallycross, a spiritual precursor to NRX, featured at the facility in 2016, with Tanner Foust winning both parts of a season-opening double header there (pictured above).
As well as Arizona, further new courses will be constructed at ERX Motor Park in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California, and the Florida International Rally & Motorsports Park near Jacksonville, Florida.
