Can-Am side-by-side racing will join the Nitro Rallycross bill at ERX Motor Park this weekend with a star-studded entry list set to take to the track alongside the regular Supercars and NRX Next categories.

Headlined by Supercar regulars Travis Pastrana and Tanner Foust, former rallycross racer and action sports icon Brian Deegan will also be on the grid along with off-road racer and ERX owner Andrew Carlson and Extreme E race winner Catie Munnings.

Also confirmed are multiple off-road champions and side-by-side regulars Mia Chapman, Corry Weller, Scottie Lawrence, Kyle Chaney, and Jason Luburgh.

“It’s going to be absolutely awesome, side-by-sides and Minnesota go together like peanut butter and jelly, “ said Pastrana.

“We’ve got more excitement for the crowd, more excitement for the drivers. I’ll be in there, Tanner Foust is going to be in there, we’ve got Andrew Carlson, it’s his track and he’s going to be racing everything.

“This is going to be a great weekend.”

Two full rounds will take place over the weekend, just like the NRX Next class. Sierra Cars, also a double-header, was on the bill at the season opener in Utah but will not feature this weekend.

The Can-Am class is a one-off on the NRX schedule for now, but Pastrana has also indicated that should it prove successful this weekend in its invitation-only format, it could feature more regularly.

He and Foust will both continue to compete in the Supercar class this weekend as well as joining the Can-Am grid.
