The second event of the 2021 Red Bull Homestretch Esports series takes place on Thursday and features stars of the Dakar Rally and rallycross going up against a Formula 1 regular.

The Gran Turismo Sport-based competition, which ran for the first time over several events last year, held its first 2021 round earlier this month but has a nearly all-new line-up of drivers that will battle against each other on May 27.

There will be a new format too, and added variables you wouldn’t see in real-world motorsport such as alcohol and tobacco!

Scott Speed remains after being team captain last time out, warming-up for his first time back in a real racing car next month in dirt racing series Superstar Racing Experience, and also with F1 experience on the entry list is current AlphaTauri driver Yuki Tsunoda.

The Japanese youngste is a Red Bull junior, and there are two of his counterparts from the off-road side as he will be competing against Dakar Rally stage winner Seth Quintero and King of The Hammers winner Mitch Guthrie Jr. In the toughest of conditions on the Dakar they were joined by Toby Price this year, and the bike rider joins Red Bull Homestretch too.

Completing the entry list are five non-racing personalities, including American football star Sean Murphy-Bunting and street freestyle motorcycle rider Aaron Colton.

Viewers can vote on which rules and tracks are used for this all-star contest, which starts at 12pm EDT/9am PDT and can be watched on Red Bull’s Twitch channel.
