DirtFish Rally School is delighted to launch a new collaboration with Driven DynamiX, delivering an even more complete rally experience for students and guests.
Driven DynamiX develops advanced motion simulators designed to deliver responsive, immersive driving experiences – perfectly aligning with DirtFish’s mission to teach, nurture and develop the very best rally drivers.
Regardless of the Program you choose at DirtFish Rally School, you will focus on core rally techniques such as line selection, braking, throttle management, rotation, weight transfer, and adapting to changing levels of grip in either a rear or all-wheel-drive car.
Now, you can refine those techniques in the virtual world with the addition of the DDX Precision simulator at the School.
Brenten Kelly, DirtFish managing director, enthused: “This collaboration bridges the gap between virtual and real-world rally driving. It’s an exciting addition to the DirtFish experience and a valuable training tool for our students and instructors, all right here on site. You can literally drive our property in the simulator, walk out the door, and drive those same roads in a real rally car.
“We’re always looking for new ways to grow the sport and help people become better drivers. Collaborating with DDX lets us do both, and we can’t wait to see how our students, guests, and the rally community embrace it.”
The simulator allows drivers to repeat scenarios and concentrate on specific areas of technique. A driver can make an adjustment, feel how it changes the vehicle’s response, and continue refining that approach through additional runs. This process can help build awareness, consistency, and confidence.
Nate Tennis, DirtFish chief instructor, said: “First and foremost it’s extremely fun to feel the dynamics of the car. As a driver with experience, it feels really sharp and true to life. The sensation of speed is strong and you can practice actual rally driving skills and techniques in your living room, safe in the knowledge they can be applied in a real car. The DDX Precision can also support preparation before an on-course session. Drivers can become more familiar with key inputs, vehicle reactions, visual references, and timing before working with an instructor in the car. That preparation can make training sessions more focused and give drivers a stronger foundation for applying feedback.
After a session, drivers can return to the simulator to revisit techniques, reinforce lessons, and continue working on areas that need improvement. This creates a valuable training cycle that connects preparation, instruction, review, and refinement.
“It’s amazing,” said Jack Harrison, DirtFish head instructor. “It’s one of the few motion rigs I’ve been on where the weight transfer and movement can actually be used as a predictive tool rather than as a fun tool. With the predictive software on the DDX Precision you can actually feel the car load up and understand it, exactly how you would in a real car. It stands apart from any other motion rig I’ve been on by a pretty large margin.”
