It’s been some week for Sami Pajari.
First he wins WRC2 at Acropolis Rally Greece by 0.0s, now he has been given two more shots in Toyota’s Rally1 car – replacing Takamoto Katsuta in Chile and joining him at Central European Rally.
In turn, Toyota’s decision is a suckerpunch for the likeable Katsuta who has struggled this season, but for Pajari it’s undoubtedly a massive chance to prove to Toyota what he can do in top-class machinery on a range of different events.
On this week’s SPIN, The Rally Pod, David Evans and Alasdair Lindsay join host Luke Barry to analyze what Toyota’s choice means for the two drivers it concerns, as well as discussing Thierry Neuville’s statement victory at last weekend’s Acropolis Rally Greece.
