Toyota Gazoo Racing has developed two bespoke GR Yaris concept road cars in conjunction with its two World Rally champions Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä.

The GR Yaris RZ Sébastien Ogier Edition and GR Yaris RZ Kalle Rovanperä Edition were both unveiled at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Salon – one of the world’s biggest motor shows – where the GR Yaris Rally2 car was also present.

Ogier and Rovanperä both had input in the cars that are named after them, meaning that the two GR Yarises come with different features and settings to suit each driver – both on the interior and exterior.

The Ogier Edition is a more reserved, sleeker design while Rovanperä’s is louder with a bespoke livery, an aggressive rear wing and other aerodynamic additions. It also features a rally-style handbrake.

Both cars share uprated torque (to 390Nm), exclusive WRC decals and interior plates and a mode switch which is tailored to each driver’s personalized settings.

The commercial release date of both cars is to be confirmed at a later date. But for now, given the choice, which Edition would you prefer to drive home in?
