The American Rally Association has announced the death of competitor Kubo Kordisch who passed away on Saturday following an accident on the Show Me Rally.

An incident occurred on the ninth stage of the event where Kordisch, 42, lost his life. The Slovakian’s co-driver Drew Carlson remained on the scene before he was taken to hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Kordisch had been rallying since 2018 and Show Me was the Ford Fiesta ST driver’s fourth event of the year, coming off an L2WD win at the recent Prescott Rally.

ARA series director, Preston Osborn, said: “I’ve known Kubo for a long time and we are heartbroken to have lost him. He had worked his way from fan to mechanic, to co-driver, and then to driver. We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and the rally community.”

DirtFish sends its condolences to Kubo’s family and friends. Those wishing to help the Kordisch family may donate to the ARA-supported RACEAID Fund in his name.
