Subaru has shared the first trailer for the upcoming eighth season of its award-winning Launch Control web series which returns to YouTube and Amazon Prime Video on December 2.

In a year where the coronavirus has decimated all motorsport activities, not least those of Subaru Motorsports USA, this season takes a behind the scenes look at how America’s biggest rally team carried on throughout the pandemic, weathering the storm and dealing with the unknowns that was thrown at it throughout the season.

We also get a look at Scott Speed’s return behind the wheel after he broke his back at last year’s Nitro World Games, while the team’s newest star Brandon Semenuk is introduced to Launch Control audiences for the very first time.

Also, to mark Subaru’s return to Hoonigan’s Gymkhana series, there will also be a two-part special detailing the filming process of the latest viral video, including Vermont SportsCar’s ambitious task to build the most extreme Subaru ever.

Getting behind the wheel of the car is Travis Pastrana, who is taking over from former-Subaru driver Ken Block in the viral video series.

Pastrana once again features prominently in the latest season of Launch Control as he not only gets to grips with the new Gymkhana machine, but also chases a sixth US rally title alongside Chrissy Beavis and Rhianon Gelsomino.
