Italy is the place to be in the World Rally Championship at the moment. In just three weeks, both world titles will be settled in and around the grounds of the iconic Monza race circuit, and this week Hyundai Motorsport is testing its new i20 Rally1.
But this isn’t just any test, like the ones we’ve seen M-Sport doing regularly with new driver Craig Breen and even Sébastien Loeb.
Hyundai is conducting what it’s calling a ‘rally simulation’, running its i20 for three days in the hills of northern Italy as if it was competing in a rally.
And better yet, DirtFish – along with other select media – has been invited along for the ride.

Colin Clark has been dispatched to provide the inside line from Hyundai’s test; bringing you the latest updates and views from drivers including Thierry Neuville and Ott Tänak as well, of course, as team principal Andrea Adamo.
Keep your eyes glued to DirtFish’s website and social media – the test begins on Wednesday and we’ll be bringing you plenty of exclusive content!
