The final day of the rally is usually a time to relax as the crew looks to bring the car home and consolidate their overall position. That couldn’t be further from what went down on last year’s Rally Hungary.
Sean Johnston and Alex Kihurani were making their R5 debut in a Citroën C3 ahead of a full-time campaign in 2020. In the first two parts of a DirtFish documentary series filmed by their mutual friend Des Foley, the pair had conquered recce and successfully negotiated the first day; albeit with two punctures.
