Subaru’s countdown of the best Launch Control moments is now into its final two episodes, and this week the focus is on David Higgins and Ken Bock’s titanic battle for supremacy at the 2013 Rally America season finale – the Lake Superior Performance Rally.
The Vermont SportsCar-led team had dominated the season up to that point, with an unbroken run of podium finishes putting Higgins in a prime position to take a third straight title for the team.
However, an upturn in form for former Subaru driver Ken Block – who’d won the last three rallies – mechanical issues, and even injury meant that Higgins was swimming against the tide at LSPR.
