In a season that yielded its second successive drivers’ title, there was plenty for the Toyota Gazoo Racing outfit to celebrate in the World Rally Championship this year.
French megastar Sébastien Ogier beat his Toyota team-mate Elfyn Evans to secure his seventh WRC title following a thrilling title-deciding Monza Rally, and the duo won four of the season’s seven rallies.
Despite Ogier and Evans locking out the top two places in the drivers’ championship, it wasn’t quite enough to prevent Hyundai from defending its manufacturers’ crown.
