Andreas Mikkelsen: 12 years in 24 hours with Škoda

DirtFish joined Mikkelsen earlier this year as he drove his first and last Škoda rally machines on the same weekend

Andreas Mikkelsen is making a return to Hyundai Motorsport for next year’s World Rally Championship, but in many ways it’s Škoda that his career will always be best associated with.

The Czech brand has always been there for the Norwegian, whether it was making his professional break into the WRC via two Intercontinental Rally Challenge titles, or working his way back with WRC2 crowns in 2021 and 2023, the Mikkelsen/Škoda story has been nothing but a success – across all its various chapters.

It all started with the Fabia S2000, and ended with the Fabia RS Rally2. Earlier this year, Mikkelsen spent a weekend driving both – driving the S2000 at the Logiman Mythical Cars Rally and the Rally2 in his pre Rally Sardinia test – and DirtFish was invited to shoot it.

With some deep and honest reflections on his 2011 IRC title win and where his career has progressed since, join Mikkelsen and co-driver Torstein Eriksen as they span 12 years of memories over 24 hours of their lives.
