The Craig Breen Foundation has raised more than €50,000 in an online auction.
Bidding closed on the auction on Tuesday night, with an assortment of team kit, signed memorabilia and even a ride in a Hyundai i20 Rally1 Hybrid up for grabs.
One of Thierry Neuville’s 2023 crash helmets raised the most, generating €10,010 towards the total of €51,902. A race suit worn by Breen went for €6,000, with Ott Tänak’s driving shoes closing at €973.
The ride at a test remains open as a raffle, with tickets sold at €10 each. Check here for details. The winning ticket will be drawn at Rally of Portugal on Sunday May 12.
The Craig Breen Foundation has been established to continue the work Craig started to help young drivers progress from grassroots through the sport. With support from Hyundai Motorsport, Sports & You, Hyundai Portugal, Hyundai Spain, Motorsport Ireland the FIA, the Foundation has committed to support the J1000 Forestry Series in Ireland for at least the next five years.
