The 15th stage of Croatia Rally, Platak 2, has been canceled due to safety reasons.
“Organizers have canceled SS15, Platak 2, for safety reasons (limited visibility due to fog),” read a statement put out by the World Rally Championship. It had previously been reported that it was raining heavily on the stage.
Drivers struggled with visibility on the first run through Platak on Saturday morning, with several stating that the conditions were the some of the toughest of their WRC career.
Ott Tänak was fastest through the stage, but that was with Pirelli’s wet compound tire on all four of his wheels, and many drivers have gone to tackle this afternoon’s loop of stages with a full dry tire lineup.
