We’ve done the preamble. It’s time for business. And when it comes to business, there are few better than the World Rally Championship-winning team boss Andrea Adamo. So we asked our favourite Italian’s views on this week’s Monte Carlo Rally.

Before we get to Adamo, what about the first two minutes of the video? Like it? We certainly do. Ours is a sport with a sensationally storied history across more than half a century – we’re going to be bringing that history back to life in the coming weeks, months and years.

Now, back to Turin and a post-lunch chat in Piazza Vittorio Veneto. Adamo is at his analytical and acerbic best. Colin’s had a glass of wine, so he’s even more expansive than usual (I know, imagine that…), but it’s all very entertaining.
