FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem made time for an exclusive interview with DirtFish’s Colin Clark in Monte Carlo last week.
The 14-time Middle East Rally champion pulled no punches in his views on the current state of the World Rally Championship and promised the series would sit front and center in his inbox from now on.
He told DirtFish: “I’ll be very honest with you, I should give more time to rallying. I have been dragged – and I’m being very straight and honest – I’ve been sucked into Formula 1.
“This is the beginning. I am here. I have to give more time to rallying, because we can fix it.”
