Ever wondered just how fast Volkswagen’s Polo R WRC built for the 2017 World Rally Championship would have been?

Or, even, what it would be like to drive a Vauxhall Nova down the Rally Estonia stages?

Thanks to EA Sports WRC, you no longer have to wonder it. You can do it for yourself!

The full 78-car list has been revealed for the first ever official WRC game developed by Codemasters – the firm responsible for the legendary Colin McRae Rally and DiRT franchises.

Featuring all three of the works Rally1 hybrid cars, as well as all the WRC2 and WRC3 cars from the 2023 season, EA Sports WRC comes complete with 68 historic vehicles split across 15 classes.

And perhaps the biggest news of all is the inclusion of the 2017 Polo R WRC, which never made it into competition thanks to Volkswagen’s late decision to pull out of the WRC in November 2016.

But it’s not the only car brand-new to a Codemasters game.

Loads of rallying icons feature for the first time including the Vauxhall Nova, Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, Mitsubishi Galant VR4, Vauxhall Astra Kit Car, Ford Escort Mk6 Maxi, Renault Maxi Mégane and Opel Corsa S2000.

EA Sports WRC is available on Playstation 5, Xbox Series S|X and PC on Friday November 3.
