How many rallies make a championship? Which rallies will make a championship? And how many times can David Evans change his mind in one podcast? Answers to all of the above are offered in this, the latest edition of Spin, The Rally Pod.

Led, as usual, by Lisa O’Sullivan, George Donaldson, Colin Clark and Evans, the podcast team talk through the ways forward out of the current crisis – including a spectacular u-turn from Evans on how many events could and should be seen this season.

There’s also talk of Northern Ireland’s chances of hosting a WRC round and the opportunity to watch some quality Michael Fassbender footage in a Ford Escort Mk2 in his native Killarney.

Rally GB route co-ordinator and all round rally guru Andrew Kellitt has clarified the FIA Sporting Code in respect to what constitutes a championship.

Kellitt said: “A championship may be a series of competitions or a single competition.” So, there we have it. We could have crowned Thierry Neuville champion after Monte Carlo.
